Material culture is human culture. The things we collect, preserve, and display are the stories of our collective identity. I founded Pinion to use my expertise of exhibit design and artifact care and display to help museums and individuals tell these stories.
I specialize in curation and design to develop spaces that are engaging and uniquely tailored to the mission and vision of institutions.
Artifacts are happiest when closed in a dark box and stowed safely in museum storage with ideal humidity controls. However, it is difficult to learn from something hidden from view. I work with museums and clients to assess the risks that objects may face and provide the best possible supports and housing for those objects while on display.
